What does a typical RV service call entail?

On a typical service call our technicians are going to review the problem you called us about to diagnose what the root cause is and options for repairing it. If we need to order parts for you we will do that and come back to install the parts. You can see more about our services and schedule an appointment HERE.

How much does a typical RV service call cost?
Do you charge the service call fee every time you come out?

We only charge the service call fee once per complaint. However if you call us after the repair is completed with a different problem we will charge the service call fee again.

What does mobile RV repair mean?

Mobile RV repair means we come to you as long as you are within 100 miles of St. Louis, MO on both the Missouri and Illinois sides. We can meet you at your home, a campground, or a gas station if necessary.

What services do you offer?

We can take care of everything from the steering wheel back on a motorized unit or from the tongue back on a towable unit. We handle all the appliances within your RV as well as brakes, leaf springs and bearings. We can reseal your roof and handle any skylights or fans you have on the roof. We can replace your windows. How far do you guys travel?

We travel within 100 miles of St. Louis, MO.

What is the most common RV repair we see?

In the summer time we most commonly see issues with AC units either not blowing cold air or not working all together. In the winter months we see the most issues with RV furnaces. We also see quite a few issues with RV refrigerators.

How do you buy your RV parts?

We buy our parts just like a dealership does but we also expand out to other resources than just distribution that RV dealers buy through. We work to find the quickest source to get you the correct part. We also try to source parts locally if we can for faster service.

What are the benefits of mobile RV repair?

The biggest benefit of mobile RV repair is the convenience of coming to your location to help you with your RV repair. Our company is set up very similar to a dealership when it comes to service so we can do just about anything they can do with a few exceptions. We buy parts like they do, we do warranty and insurance work like they do but we are able to do all of this in the field.

How do I find a reputable RV repair tech?

Doing your research is the best way and then calling and asking them if they are certified. Here are some other ways to find reputable technicians as well.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept cash or credit card and checks if they are local.

How do I know when to perform maintenance on my RV?

We suggest you do maintenance on your appliances at least twice a year along with checking the major components. We offer a great checklist that breaks this all down for you. Checklist

What RV types do you work on?

We will work on all types of RV’s except for pop up campers. We also only work on units that were made within the last 20 years.

Do you offer warranty work?

Yes we will work with any warranty or extended warranty company.

Do you work with any manufacturers?

Yes we work directly with all Forest River brands as a dealer and with several THOR brands as a dealer. We also are set up to work with Winnebago as a dealer as well.

What is the turn around time for repairs?

We can usually get to someone within 72 hours of your initial phone call. In the busy season we will typically get booked about two weeks out.

Do I have to be present for RV repairs?

Yes on the initial visit we ask that you be present and we prefer that you are present for all visits.

Are your technicians certified?

Yes our technicians are certified through RVTI, RV Technical Institute. This is the gold standard for RV certifications and is the only school authorized through the RV Industry.

I have an emergency, can you help?

We are not an emergency service but in some cases we can get to you for same day service.

What services are you not able to do?

We cannot work on engines of any motorized unit. We cannot change tires or fix flat tires. We cannot do body work or interior structural or cosmetic work. We cannot replace your roof in the field. We cannot fix water damage. We cannot fix your holding tanks and will not do anything with your black tank including the piping to and from it.

Do you provide collision and body work?

Do you offer state inspections?

We do not offer state inspections.

Can you inspect my RV before I buy it or sell my current RV?

Yes we can more than happy to help inspect an RV before you go to sell it or if you are in the market for a new one. We offer this at a flat rate depending on the size of the unit. Please call us at 314-907-0937 for more details.
